Using HL7 FHIR to enable digital health information in Ontario

Are you interested in enabling patient access to their own records?

Join eHealth Ontario on October 31st at noon for a webinar and walk-through of the Innovation Lab with a focus on how Health Level Seven’s Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (HL7®FHIR®) standard is enabling data exchange through the use of modern web service application programming interfaces (APIs).

The Ontario Health Team (OHT) digital health playbook calls for the use of modern technical approaches (e.g. FHIR-based APIs and web services) to promote efficiency and seamless access to patient records. We will provide an explanation of what APIs are, why FHIR APIs differ from previous HL7 v2.x integrations within the healthcare space, and a deliver a demo of eHealth Ontario’s Innovation Lab.
