The Evidence Forums: How Inclusive Engagement Strengthens Evidence for Policy and Practice

The Evidence Project at The Pew Charitable Trusts has been gathering experts from around the world focused on ways to increase the usefulness and use of evidence. These research funders, scholars, practitioners, and government officials have specifically been exploring promising practices for inclusive research-practice-policy partnerships and the institutional infrastructure needed to support effective stakeholder engagement. Drawing on these networks and pockets of innovation, this public forum will feature a panel of experts from inside and outside of government who will share examples of inclusive stakeholder engagement and research-practice-policy partnerships and discuss opportunities to scale and expand them. The discussion will include approaches for, investments in, and experiences of inclusive engagement with and partnerships between researchers, policymakers, practitioners, community leaders, and others for evidence-informed policies and programs.
