Methods & process transformation
ESN-CA will soon be able to leverage ESIC’s methods and process transformation, which will move us to policy-scale, AI-enabled living evidence syntheses on all of the big questions of our time.
ESIC has a number of near-term priorities related to methods and process transformation:
- development (and harmonization) of quality standards – or at least principles behind what will become ‘experimental official’ standards – for policy-scale living evidence synthesis that can be applied across sectors (and with the safe and responsible use of AI as appropriate)
- development of costing methods that can support the development of ‘best buys’ lists at policy scale and across sectors
- development (and harmonization) of reporting standards for decision-ready outputs (e.g., intervention-outcome matrices and ‘theory of change’ evidence tables)
- tracking methods innovations emerging from other parts of the ESIC infrastructure and from independent efforts to ensure we surface them, ‘test’ them across sectors, and ‘make any change for the better the new normal.’
ESIC is also consider a new priority related to question prioritization.
