Health & social care
ESN-CA is particularly well positioned to contribute to ESIC’s proposed health and social care ‘spoke’ given:
- health and social care have long been the focus of each of ESN-CA’s four hubs, which means we bring rich partnerships with government policymakers and system leaders, as well as professionals and patient partners, as well as rich subject-matter expertise
- we have developed, and refined over more than a decade, two taxonomies for sorting the relevant research evidence, with one taxonomy focused on health-system arrangements and implementation strategies and another taxonomy that covers social-care programs, system arrangements, and implementation strategies (among other sectors)
- we have maintained, again for more than a decade, the two most comprehensive sources of quality-appraised evidence syntheses in these domains, namely Health Systems Evidence and Social Systems Evidence.
We are in the early stages of exploring the partnerships, including with partners in the Global South, that will allow us to make good on this aspiration.
