Heather Bullock

Executive lead, RISE (McMaster Health Forum)

In her role at RISE, Heather will provide dedicated leadership to the initiative, focusing on building out all aspects of RISE in order to develop a rich, integrated system of supports for OHTs.

Heather has an extensive background in healthcare policy and knowledge translation, holding progressive leadership positions. She previously worked at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH), the McMaster Health Forum and most recently as Director of Provincial Partnerships at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. In her work at CAMH, she developed and led a province-wide knowledge-exchange network for mental health and addictions (Evidence Exchange Network) that helps create and share evidence to build a better mental health and addictions system in Ontario. As part of her recently completed doctoral studies she was awarded the prestigious national Pierre Elliot Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarship and the Ontario Graduate Scholarship. Her research interests lie in how large jurisdictions implement evidence-informed policy directions in mental health systems. She also serves in an advisory capacity for several provincial, national, and international initiatives such as the International Knowledge Exchange Network for Mental Health. She holds a PhD in health policy from McMaster University and a MSc in biology and psychology from Queen’s University.
