Cristina Mattison

Scientific Lead, Stakeholder Engagement and Systems Analysis

Cristina’s primary role at the McMaster Health Forum is evidence synthesis, which includes the preparation of evidence briefs, citizen briefs, dialogue summaries, citizen panel summaries, and scientific articles. In addition, Cristina authored three chapters and contributed to four as second author in the book, Ontario’s health system: Key insights for engaged citizens, professionals and policymakers. Her research uses an interdisciplinary approach, focusing specifically at the health systems level, and incorporates political system factors to understand the roles of midwives in health systems.

She holds a B.A. (Honours) from the University of Waterloo, an M.Sc. from McMaster University, and a Ph.D. in Health Policy from McMaster University.
