McMaster Health Forum | Evaluate Innovations

Evaluating innovations in supporting evidence-informed decision-making is an area in which we have a long track record, both as an organization and as individuals (with several key staff having worked in this field long before they helped to create the Forum).

If you’re a health-system leader wanting to better support evidence-informed decision-making:

Through Forum+, we are now able to offer similar support to social-system leaders.

Our evaluation work is coordinated through the McMaster Health Forum’s Impact Lab and involves a large number of staff, students, and collaborators. The evaluations range from process to impact evaluations, often involve both primary research and research syntheses, and draw on both qualitative and quantitative methods.

Many ideas are regularly tossed around about how best to support evidence-informed decision-making about health systems, but these are early days in knowing what works, how, in what contexts, and for which types of issues. Through our evaluations, the Forum is dedicated to helping advance both the science and practice in the field.
