Kerry Waddell

Scientific Lead, Evidence Synthesis and Support

Kerry Waddell is the Scientific Lead for Evidence Synthesis and Support at the McMaster Health Forum. Her role focuses on gathering, synthesizing and contextualizing evidence for the rapid response program and its products including living and rapid evidence profiles, rapid syntheses and evidence briefs. In her capacity as Scientific Lead, she supports the Forum’s secretariat roles for select networks including the Rapid Improvement Support and Exchange and the Global Commission on Evidence to Address Societal Challenges.

Prior to joining the Forum, Kerry was working as a technical consultant with the World Health Organization's Regional Office for Europe in the Division of Health Systems and Public Health working on the advancement of integrated health systems. Kerry received her Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and her Master of Science in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from a joint program between the London School of Economics and Political Science and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. In addition to her role at the Forum, Kerry is PhD Candidate in the Health Policy PhD program with a specialization in Political Studies at McMaster University researching the use of technical assistance to support health-system transformations.
