Shiqiang (David) Jin

David is a student pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Health Sciences at McMaster University. Currently, he holds the position of a research assistant at McMaster's Global Health Office, where he actively explores his interests in public health and evidence based medicine. Additionally, David serves as the co-president of Swimming With a Mission Hamilton and dedicates his free time to volunteer work in his community.

Having been awarded the Global Skills Opportunity (GSO), David will embark on a journey to South Africa to collaborate with the South Africa Centre for Evidence (SACE). During this opportunity, he hopes to deepen his knowledge of evidence synthesis within the realm of South African public health concerns. Moreover, working alongside local stakeholders will provide him with valuable insights into their culture. David aspires to apply these newfound understandings to promote evidence-based health practices in his future endeavours.
