This session will be the second of a seven-part engagement learning series. This series focuses on building connections and competencies for meaningful patient engagement. Each 90-minute monthly session will include interactive expert panels and Q&A. In this session you will learn about the risks and benefits of sharing lived experiences with healthcare decision-making councils, education events and co-design teams. We will discuss how to facilitate, receive and respond to lived experience and emotions in meetings with patient/caregiver partners, including how to create safer spaces and use trauma informed engagement practices.
