Supporting the evidence-based use of cannabis for chronic pain in Canada
Considerable attention is being paid in Canada and internationally to the role of cannabis in the management of several conditions, including chronic pain, which affects nearly one in five Canadians. With Canadians consuming cannabis at some of the highest rates in the world and with trends suggesting these rates will continue to increase in the future, there are also calls to consider the known health risks associated with the use of cannabis, and to ensure government policymakers make decisions about its use from a public health perspective.
