Programs: Evidence syntheses
Remote patient monitoring is the delivery of healthcare services to people outside of conventional clinical settings (e.g., at home) using telecommunication technology. The adoption of RPM and other virtual-care services are increasingly becoming an important part of the solution to address new and ongoing challenges across health systems in Canada, especially during the recovery stage of the COVID-19 pandemic. The rapid synthesis requested by the AGE-WELL National Innovation Hub APPTA synthesizes current research evidence about how remote-monitoring and associated technologies could enable people to stay in their homes or existing level of care.
