Téjia Bain

Co-Lead, Evidence Synthesis
Téjia’s role at McMaster Health Forum involves gathering and synthesising evidence for living evidence profiles, rapid reviews and syntheses, evidence briefs, and other knowledge syntheses. She previously worked as a Policy Analyst at the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario carrying out health policy research, developing policy briefs, and presenting policy options to stakeholders and decision makers. Téjia also worked previously as an intern at the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) in her home country, The Bahamas, developing strategies to address local health issues under the direction of PAHO’s Representative and Regional Advisor. Téjia holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Elmira College in New York, U.S.A. and a Master of Science degree in Global Health Policy from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in London, U.K. Her research interests include community-based health policy research that focuses on health equity and knowledge sytheses that lead to evidence-informed health policy change.
