Daniel Lu

Queen Elizabeth Scholars in Strengthening Health Systems (2017)

Daniel is an undergraduate student in the Bachelor of Health Sciences program at McMaster University. Through his work and research experiences he has developed an interest in interdisciplinary approaches to problem solving, public health, and translating research evidence into practice.

As an outgoing Queen Elizabeth Scholar, Daniel will be travelling to the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore to conduct a research placement under the supervision of Dr. Russell Gruen. His project will explore the commonalities and differences between health services research and engineering approaches to problem solving. He hopes to gain insight on the complexity of health system issues and the processes for addressing them.
