New centre at NOSM University will help advance health equity and support OHTs in the North

On 10 June 2024, the Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity officially opened at NOSM University. Formerly the Centre for Social Accountability, the Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity provides a space for research partnerships and collaborations across Northern Ontario that aim to improve health and healthcare outcomes in Northern Ontario. This Centre is the home of the RISE-NOSM U team, who work with Northern OHTs to advance population-health management (PHM) with an understanding of the local context. In addition to the RISE coaches who offer PHM coaching, the RISE-NOSM U team offers specific data analytics and equity-centered measurement support for Northern OHTs.
