Kerry Waddell is a full-time PhD student in the Health Policy PhD program at McMaster University, and a technical focal point for RISE, which she transitioned into from her role as the McMaster Health Forum’s Lead of Evidence Synthesis. The latter role included assisting in the process of gathering evidence for many of the Forum’s programs, including citizen panels and stakeholder dialogues. To date, her research has focused on the development of people-centred health systems and integrated health-services delivery – areas which she plans to explore further through her doctoral work and continued engagement with RISE. Prior to joining the Forum, Kerry was consulting with the World Health Organization's Regional Office for Europe in the Division of Health Systems and Public Health. Kerry received her Bachelor of Health Sciences from the University of Western Ontario and her Master of Science in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from a joint program between the London School of Economics and Political Science and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
