Jaime Ardila

PhD Candidate

Jaime Ardila was trained as a physician at the Universidad del Rosario in Bogotá, Colombia. Before joining the Health Policy PhD program, he worked as a consultant at the Colombian Ministry of Health and also taught at the Medical School of the Universidad del Rosario. He obtained an MPH from the University of Sheffield in the UK and an MSc in Health Economics at Jagiellonian University in Poland within the Erasmus Mundus Program “Europubhealth” sponsored by the European Commission. He is a recipient of the prestigious Ontario Trillium Scholarship and fellow of Knowledge Translation Canada (2012-2014). Under the supervision of John Lavis, Jaime’s dissertation will explore how economic ways of thinking have been used in the policymaking process, studying the case of Colombia.
